Rita Eades, 75, of Florence passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. She is preceded in death by her parents; Carey and Mattie Matthews, brother Eddie Matthews, and sister Carolyn MorrisShe is survived by: her son Tim Eades (Shirley), and daughter Alicia Haddock (Russell), granddaughter Kristen Smith, and great granddaughter Chloe Santos.Mrs. Eades was a cancer survivor and an avid supporter of all cancer organizations. She also served as a past secretary for the Muscle Shoals Horns.In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017, 2 PM at Central Heights Baptist Church, with Roger Houston officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Mr. McGrady was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of M&M Lawncare. He was an avid member of “Workout Anytime”, “Anytime Fitness”, and “Fitness Unlimited”.
