Mr. Joshua Jimmy Slayton, 24 of Gaylesville passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Slayton was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, member of the Centre Police Department and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad. He was a former member of the Gaylesville Fire Department.Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, December 9, 2016 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Justin Ward, Scott Hobbs and Jonathan Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Faith Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Rescue Squad , Centre Police Department, Gaylesville Fire Department or to the family.
