Dwight of Scottsdale, Arizona.David was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister Melinda Lear, who passed away in 2009. David’s family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1949 and then to Salem in 1953. David attended Hoover Elementary School, Waldo Junior High, and graduated from North Salem High School in 1966. He also attended Chemeketa Community College in Salem after high school.He worked for the State of Oregon for many years in the vehicle parts department. David was an avid car buff and owned and maintained several classic cars. David had been in poor health the last several years after having suffered a stroke, and he passed away at his home in Lyons on May 31. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Stayton Community Center. Forest Road 192 on April 1, according to sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn.The Jeep rolled more than 500 feet down a hill before it stopped, and in doing so, ejected Daniel Arroyo, 29, of Phoenix, who died at the scene,The other occupant, a 47-year-old man, was found still inside the vehicle and was taken by a Department of Public Safety Ranger helicopter to a Phoenix hospital, D’Evelyn said, where he is expected to survive.Investigators have yet to establish the cause of the crash.Information provided by Yavapai County Sheriff’s office.

Class of 1981.  Jill was skilled at many jobs throughout her life. She managed the Clayton Trailer Park for many years, worked at various print shops, and did custodial work most recently at the Phoenix Bar and Grill.  In her quiet time, Jill enjoyed drawing and writing poems. She appreciated the beauty of the outdoors, and delighted in her time mowing grass and planting flowers. She was fond of collecting agates and rocks.  Jill adored her dog, Lizzie who brought great joy and companionship to her life.  She had a gracious heart, always willing to help others, and bring a smile to their faces.  Jill will remain in the hearts of her fiance, Tom Konsela; her sisters, Samantha Jeanne Longo and Dona (George) Edwards; nieces and nephews:  Noah Longo, Mike (Steph) Norris, Ryan Benson, and Stacie Benson; great nieces and great nephews:  Shelby, Antley and Earl Norris, and Teagan and Nadia Benson; great-great nephew, A.J. “Little Man”; and her beloved dog, Lizzie. Laddie " Moreau Pickett passed away peacefully on Monday Feb. 27, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Oh., with his family by his side. He was 74.Charles was born Feb. 9, 1943, in Phoenix Az., son of Lawrence J. and Elizabeth Ann Miller Pickett.After high school Charles enlisted in the Navy from 1961 to 1965. He graduated from Sul Ross State College in Alpine, Texas, in 1968 receiving a BS in Biology. He joined the Air Force in 1968 and trained as a fighter pilot and later served as a combat pilot in Vietnam. He also flew KC135's for mid-air refueling of fighter planes, including SR-71's. He left the USAF in 1974 as a Captain, and became a licensed General Contractor. He then furthered his education at Lassen College from 1986 to 1989 as a Gunsmith and then again in 1993 he received his Masters in Education from the University of Idaho. He then worked as a Special Education teacher in public and private schools.Charles belonged to the Red River Valley Rats Association and belonged to a Men's group in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also attended regular AA meetings for over 34 years.He was an avid fitness and health fanatic riding his bicycle, lifting weights and eating

Bob was the music teacher and chorus director at St. Teresa of Avila Parochial School, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for several years. He then began his social work career in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and continued to work in a similar capacity throughout western Pennsylvania including New Castle, Erie and Pittsburgh. Bob ultimately retired from the U.S. Postal Service after ten years of service.He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Erie, Pennsylvania and a former member of St. Mary’s Church in New Castle.Bob was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Nest 455, New Castle.An athlete in his own right, Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan.He devoted his life to family, faith and the Roman Catholic Church. To everyone he met, Bob gave the gifts of love, laughter and music.Survivors include two daughters, Bernadette S. Catrabone and her husband, Matt and Erica M. Snyder, all of Erie, Pennsylvania; one son, Steven P. Snyder, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Matthew, Ava and Gian Joseph; a great-grandson, Leo and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Thomas Snyder.Calling hours will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in J. He was born Sept. 6, 1996, in Phoenix.Cody grew up in Lakeside, having attended the Blue Ridge schools and graduated with the Blue Ridge Class of 2015.He then moved to Phoenix and was attending Paradise Valley Community College on a pole vaulting scholarship.
