Pauline moved to the United States at age 18 to take care of her aunt’s children in Everett, where she met Alec and raised her family. A proud resident of Winslow Towers in Arlington Center for 20 years, “Nana” Pauline had a great group of friends with whom she enjoyed playing Bingo, drinking coffee, and sharing stories. She valued her loving family and her favorite foods of lobster rolls and macaroni and cheese. She lived independently through age 98 and inspired others with her positive attitude. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington. Funeral Mass at the St. Agnes’ Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. Relatives and friends invited. Charles Beaudreau III, died when she was only 3½ years old, and Corey Perkins of Augusta stepped in when she was 6 years old to fill the parental role, her mother said.Amber attended school at Winslow High School and Cony High School and planned to get her high school equivalency. She recently learned the art of sword swallowing and planned to attend the World Sword Swallower’s Day, sponsored by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! in New York City on Feb. 25 with her boyfriend, Nick Penney of Augusta, who also is a sword swallower.A family friend has set up a Go Fund Me account to help with funeral costs. Friends have turned to social media to remember her.

She was a retired employee of the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. and a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.Lillian is survived by her daughter, Barbara Winslow (Gaylord Sanford); her son, Edward Hanson (Vickie); her son, Jeff Hanson (Donna); her step-son, Dwight Hanson Colella(Pat); her grandchildren, Denise Winslow, Ronald “Chuck” Winslow, Jr. (Kai), Keith Winslow (Chris), Larry Hanson, Sean Cummings (Jennifer), Katherine Grudzien (Steve), Chris Cummings (Christine), Jason Hanson and Amanda Bruce (Brandon); her 17 great grandchildren and her great great grandson. In addition to her husband and her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her son in law, Ronald Winslow, Sr., and her brother, Leroy Scheithe. The Family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Marva Binns for the daily care she provided. She has a special place in our hearts, and the nurses and caregivers at Vitas Healthcare for everything they do daily, not only for us, but everyone.We also thank Dr. Michael Savarese and Dr. Henry Borkowski for all they have done for us.
