Lumberton. Born in Chilton, she was an office manager for Hertz Rent a Car, she worked for Brown and Root and Harris County Probation Office, then finally she was a greeter at the Lumberton Walmart. She served as a volunteer at Lumberton Elementary, where she received the Volunteer of the Year Award. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Crosby, Texas, Chapter 61. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Earl Parsons of Lumberton; son, Clifford Earl “Cliff” Parsons Jr. of Beaumont; daughter, Teresa Parsons of Kailua, Hawaii; brothers, Robert Clowers and wife Marlene of Galena Park and Larry Clowers of Clear Lake; and one grandchild and two step-grandchildren. Born in Homewood, Mississippi, she was an auto partssaleswoman. Entombment will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Champaign. Lucille was born on Oct. 3, 1924, in Sadorus, a daughter of Cecil and Alma (Bryant) Whightsil. She married William Laughlin on Oct. 10, 1954, in Champaign. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2014. Survivors include their four children, Joe (Donna) Laughlin of St. Joseph, Becky Hottman of Champaign, Carla Valdes of Urbana and Billy (Cathy) Osborne of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Phyllis Romine of Atwood; and two brothers, Bobby (Frances) Whightsil of Sadorus and Gerold Whightsil of Tuscola. Four sisters and one brother preceded her in death. Lucille managed the Dairy Queen on Prospect Avenue in Champaign for 18 years. She retired from Aramark in 2009.Lucille loved fishing and enjoyed gardening.In recent years she had been attending Parkville Church in Sadorus. May 28, 1942 to the late Elmer and Thelma Faircloth Collister.  She had retired from Barry Manufacturing in Goldsboro.  Following her retirement, Eleanor began working in the gardening center at Walmart in Rosewood.A service to celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home followed by a time a visitation.  At other times the family will be at, 3698 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.Eleanor is survived by her son, Timothy Anderson and wife Lisa of Goldsboro; daughter, Wendy Mitchell and husband Jesse Earl Mitchell Jr. of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Ryan Mitchell and wife Caraleigh, Cassidy Corbett and husband Chris, and Jason Mitchell; and a great-granddaughter, Conleigh Mitchell.  She is also survived by three sisters and one brother.

ALMA — Kevin Diss struggled to understand the loss of his friend and business partner, Lowell Ingram, in a tragic accident that happened while working on a semitrailer Tuesday at Pinnacle Foods in Effingham.“We started this joint venture a couple years ago,” said Diss of Diss Truck and Repair of Alma. “We built it from nothing.”Diss said Ingram, 59, of Alma sustained fatal injuries after the trailer they were working on together collapsed, pinning Ingram beneath.“I was underneath the trailer with him repairing a dolly leg,” said Diss. “We were down to the last bolt when I saw the trailer start to sway. The good dolly leg folded under.”He said they were working with two 20-ton jacks and a portable dolly leg to make sure the trailer had plenty of support, but somehow things went wrong.“We've done this 100 times,” said Diss. “It's something we do on a regular basis.”Diss described Ingram as a hard worker who couldn't say “no” to anyone. AN ANTONIO- The family of Ricardo Sanchez paid their respects to him Monday at the Castillo Mission Funeral Home on the west side."He spent all his time with his kids, as much time as he could,” said Alma Edem, Aunt of Ricardo Sanchez.The family of Ricardo Sanchez says he was dropping off his children to his ex-girlfriend at this home on the northwest side when he was killed. Police say Sanchez got into an argument with Jose Rodriguez over a child custody issue. When police arrived shell casings and blood were found in the driveway of the home but neither of the men. Sanchez was found dead off Highway 181 last week, but Rodriguez is still missing."We are not going to deny that Mr. Rodriguez may have had some involvement in that shooting, but it’s still a part of the investigation and things that we have to confirm,” said Officer Douglas Green with the San Antonio police department.Police are now saying they believe foul play is involved in the disappearance of Rodriguez as well."Something else may have happened to Mr. Rodriguez or he is nowhere to be found which is sort of strange according to his friends and family members,” said Officer Greene.Sanchez's family is hoping that once police find Rodriguez they will
