Freda Ann Almond, 76, of Fort Smith was received into the loving arms of her Savior on March 24, 2017, in Fort Smith. She was born July 31, 1940, in Atkins to the late Francis Earl and Ollie Lavina Harris Wright.She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Almond; her daughter, Kristi Copeland and her husband, David of Searcy; her son, Steven B. Almond and his wife, Sue of Lavaca; her sister, Janell Swearingen of Greenwood; a niece, Bryn Butler of Bentonville; seven grandchildren, Amber Haskins, April McClure, Ashley Reed, Alan Copeland, Blake Almond, London Merrill and Julianne Almond; as well as 10 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings.She was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to raising her family in the Christian faith and in the church. She absolutely loved and adored her seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and she continued to share the Lord's love with them all. The names Grandmother and Gigi were precious to her.She was a devoted servant of Christ and Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church. Elizabeth (Vens) Bouchaute near New Liberty, Iowa. He graduated from Calamus (Iowa) High School in 1942. Albert married Laverne Etscheidt on Feb. 10, 1955, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Watkins, Iowa.Albert was a farmer near Lowden for 20 years. Albert and Laverne moved to Wheatland in 1975. He worked at P.W. Stankee Co. for many years before his retirement. Albert was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting pheasants and rabbits. He was very handy with woodworking and enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeye Basketball team and the St. Louis Cardinals. Albert loved playing horseshoes and had many ringers in his lifetime. He was a member of the Wheatland Wapsi Ringers Horseshoe Club for many years. Albert will be sadly missed by his family and friends.Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Judie (Dave) Carson and Janis (Jan) Muhl, of Wheatland; son, John (Nancy) Bouchaute of Maquoketa, Iowa; granddaughters, Jennifer (Matt) Heitland, of Bainbridge Island, Washington and Jessica (Luke) Shelton of Calamus; two great-grandsons, Brent and Caleb Shelton, of Calamus; and stepgrandchildren, Dennis (Leigh) Carson, of Cedar Rapids, Daryl (Julie) Carson of Ely, and Kim Clark, of Maquoketa. Carol Ann Atkins, age 70, of Buckhannon, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.She was born June 26, 1946, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Franklin C. and Lenna L. Bennett Phillips.On December 23, 1980, she married Charles “Chuck” Atkins who died in 1991.She is survived by one sister, Margaret Neely and husband, Ernest of Buckhannon; one nephew, Steven Neely and wife Cheryl of Richardsville, VA; two nieces, Vickie McDougal and husband Andy of Roseville, CA and Donna Harmon and husband David of Winter Springs, FL and several great nieces and nephews.Mrs. Atkins was a past Worthy Matron and the current Secretary for the Order of The Eastern Star Chapter# 18 and a member of the West Buckhannon Methodist Church.
