Romona Mae Strickland Price passed away March 20, 2017Romona Mae Strickland Price age 81 of Heber Springs went to be with the Lord March 20, 2017 at White County Hospital in Searcy. Born July 30, 1935 in Dodson, Louisiana she was the daughter of the late James W. and Lodi Jackson Strickland. She was an active member of Mt. Devonshire Community Church. She was employed by Aromatique as setup manager for some sixteen years. Her hobbies were sewing and embroidery, art and crafts and knitting. The family stated she loved people and enjoyed her time with friends and family. Romona was preceded in death by her parents and  a sister Jeanette Baraintine. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Lee Price; two daughters, Sherry Shipley (Brian) of Heber Springs and Carol Riddle (Bill) of Zephyrhill, Florida ; nephew, Donald R. Harrison of Tampa, Florida and many friends. Funeral services were Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with Bro. John Cates officiating. Rose Lee Herren Compton passed away March 7, 2017Rose Lee Herren Compton age 84 of Heber Springs passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her residence. Born-July 7, 1932 in Midridge, Missouri , she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Racie Bunch Herren. Before retirement Rose worked at Clebume County Hospital in the kitchen. She was of the Baptist faith. Her hobbies included working crossword puzzles, cooking, taking care of her family, she was a home engineer, bird watching and she especially loved going to yard sales. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Patricia Ann Chitwood, Deborah Kay Briggs and Dana Kay Rodgers; a grandson Geddy Rodgers and a great grandson Titus Compton. Rose is survived by her husband Telford Ray Compton whom she married February 17, 1967; six sons Gary Lynn Chitwood (Mary) of Homer, Georgia, Robert Dwight Chitwood of St. Clair, Missouri, David Ray Compton (Tracey Spriggs) of Annadale, New Jersey, Danny J. She was a former member of the Hebron, Illinois United Methodist Church and the Heber Springs First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She volunteered for the Heber Springs United Methodist Church-Cleburn County Cares. She was also a member of the Friends of the Library in Heber Springs. Tristan Alexander Hamilton, 15, of Heber Springs, passed away June 14, 2017. He was born November 27, 2001 in Tacoma, Washington. Tristan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Clinton, enjoyed playing video games and listening to music. He was also a jokester and tried to make everyone around him feel good.Left to cherish Tristan's memory are his mother Anglia Green; father Dale Ludtke, sisters Alicia Pugh of Heber Springs and Amber Pugh of Greenbrier. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed playing bridge and traveling.
