Alfred and Ella Haas Wolbrueck. She married Calvin Frederick McFarland March 15, 1953 in Walburg, Texas. She was a homemaker and was a resident of Austin from 1956 until 2011. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed puzzle books, word search and keeping up with her favorite soap operas. Blue Ribbon Laundromat which they owned for many years. Ellen was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in both Westport and Clatskanie and Faith Lutheran Church in Clatskanie. She enjoyed bowling and trips to the coast, especially Lincoln City with a stop at the casino, annual family weekend trips, cheering on the Blazers, attending church, lunch/coffee with friends, and spending time with her family. And…she loved cats! She is survived by her daughter, Arlana (Ken) Hauge of Bend, Oregon, son Leon Tweet of Clatskanie, granddaughter Jennifer (Robert) Stammer and grandson, Josh Hauge, both of Happy Valley, Oregon. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Betty Aho Bagley, of Svensen, brothers-in-law Dean (Marlene) Tweet of Clatskanie and Marvin (Betty) Tweet of Glendive, Montana and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Oren, on February 12, 2006 and by her parents and nine siblings. There will be a visitation on Friday February 24, 2017 from 5-7 pm at the Groulx Family Mortuary, 25381 Wonderly Rd., Rainier, Oregon. He was born to Dan and Nellie (Canfield) Straight on March 4, 1925, in Greeley. Lowell joined the Army after high school on July 29, 1944, and served in WWII. He was honorably discharged from the Army on March 5, 1946. Lowell Married Dorothy (Reeve) Straight on Nov. 14, 1948, in LaSalle. Lowell loved to buy/sell cattle, as well as travel and gamble. Lowell is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Lowell Jay (Doreen) Straight and Janice (Roger) Teter; grandchildren, Amy (Brett) Ledford, Cody (Raeanne) Straight, Mandy and Morgan Straight; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
