Monday, October 10, 2016 is your source for free news and information in Williamsburg, James City & York Counties.John CarmichaelWILLIAMSBURG – John L. “Jack” Carmichael passed away on Sept. 29, 2016 after thirteen years battle with multiple myeloma.He was born in New Castle, Indiana to Freda Knecht and Emory Carmichael in 1939. Jack grew up in New Castle until age 14 when he went to St. Meinrad Seminary in southern Indiana where he studied for the priesthood for eight and a half years. In the fall of 1962, Jack then moved to St. Louis, Missouri and taught high school biology and health at Bishop DuBourg High School.He became a member of the young adult’s club at St. Joan of Arc parish where he met and married Patricia Luebbers. In 1964, Jack left teaching and started a career in the beverage industry with Pepsi Cola of New York. He then spent thirty-two years in the beverage industry with Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola, and Anheuser-Busch. The Carmichael’s moved nine times during his career which ended when he retired from Anheuser-Busch in 1997 in Williamsburg, Virginia.Jack’s expertise was quality assurance

This article was published November 20, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.Terry E. Carmichael age 67 of Calion passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at CHI St. Vincent Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Terry was born on July 10, 1949 in El Dorado to Nellie Mae Coleman Carmichael and Ernest Edward Carmichael. Terry loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the hunting club. Terry was also a member of Calion Assembly of God.Terry was preceded in death by his father.Survivors include; his mother, Nell Carmichael of El Dorado; one brother, DeWayne Carmichael and wife Susan of El Dorado; two nephews, Chase Carmichael and wife Taylor of El Dorado and Chad Carmichael of Franklin, TN also, one great niece, Caroline Carmichael; special friend, Linda Ellis and her two children Joseph and Rachell, whom he considered his grandkids.Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Bailey Funeral Home.
