Anne T. Calabresi, one of the proprietors that runs the cemetery, said Cameron’s hard work made the cemetery a beautiful garden and aviary. Cameron will be remembered Friday at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.“He was totally and absolutely dedicated to the cemetery,” she said. “I can’t imagine finding anyone who loves it as much.”• Hamden lawmaker says the state has taken a step forward in its tree trimming debate:Utility companies will now be required to give more notice before they cut down trees around power lines and a state legislator from Hamden says that’s a positive change in an impassioned debate over tree trimming in the state.State Rep. Michael D’Agostino, a Democrat, drafted the measure Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has signed into law. He said the bill arose from complaints from people who said utility companies were too aggressive in their trimming in the wake of storms that knocked out power to thousands statewide. But D’Agostino says there’s more work to do. He says the state Department of Transportation should also have to give more notice when it does tree work. There are also new water and sewer lines along Elm Street to hook up to backstage bathrooms. One change you probably will notice: Free Wi-Fi internet, which is hopefully on the way to the Green this summer.Zinn says the upgrades are in line with Mayor Toni Harp’s vision to make the Green more enjoyable for everyone.
