Monday, May 01, 2017Doran, 91, a 20-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Hyattsville, MD, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home. Born on January 25, 1926 in Cleveland, OH to the late Raymond Ketchum and Julia Doran, Thomas graduated in 1944 from Benedictine High School in Richmond, VA.After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served during WWII with the Air Transport Command in India. He was stationed for two years at the airbases in Chabua and Barrackpore, before leaving for home on Easter Sunday 1946. He was honorably discharged at Fort Meade, MD on May 25.After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1951 from the Catholic University of America, Thomas made his career as an Economist/Statistician for the Army Corps of Engineers, Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors, in Washington, DC and at Ft. Belvoir, VA. He retired after 33 years of service.An avid Washington Nationals and Maryland Terrapin fan, Thomas was a member of the University of Maryland Terrapin Club in College Park. He also collected Lionel trains, loved Christmas and enjoyed volunteering at Anne Arundel Medical Center; he was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.Thomas’ greatest passion though, was...
Saturday, April 08, 2017Integris Grove Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma.Roy was born on March 29, 1927 in Pensacola, Oklahoma. He was the son of Dee Moseley and Melissa Jane (Holland) Moseley. Roy was raised in the Pensacola/Ketchum/Vinita, Oklahoma area. He attended Ketchum schools where he received his formal education.He and the former Lola Marie Rogers were united in marriage and they made their home in the Bernice area.Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he loyally served his country during WWII. Before his retirement, he was self-employed as an iron worker, building boat docks on Grand Lake. Memberships included the Iron Workers Union (Tulsa); and Quarter Master (1979-81) of the VFW in Bernice. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Lola, of the family home; one daughter, Tamara Reheard and her husband, Donnie, of Vinita; step-sons, Glen Rogers of Merced, California, and Ted Rogers and his wife, Tinna, of Drumright, Oklahoma; step-daughters, Cheryl Sanders of Bernice, and Lisa Sisson of Ketchum; two grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Bob was born in Enid Oklahoma, but in his early childhood moved to the Ketchum/Langley Area.Bob served in the Army with a tour of duty in Japan during War World II and was called back as a reserve in the Korean Conflict.Bob married Gladys June Macon on March 7, 1949, making their home in the Ketchum/Langley area. They had three children John Earl, Robert Whayne and Nancy Ruth. After 22 years of marriage, they divorced. Bob married Betty A Drywater. Betty had two children Scott and Mary Ellen.Bob worked as a heavy construction superintendent until his retirement. Christian graduated from Ketchum High School in 2009, then attended NEO A&M College in Miami, where he received his Associates Degree, he was currently attending NSU in Broken Arrow and was finishing his last classes this semester for his degree. Christian was an employee of Carter’s Grocery Store in Vinita. He was also a very dedicated writer, and was planning to be a professional writer. Christian had belonged to the drama club, writing club, academic club, and played saxophone in the band while in school. He was an avid gamer, writer and movie connoisseur. Rex was born in Grove on September 6, 1966 to Preston and Johana (Browning) Chandler. He held several jobs throughout his life but his most memorable job was laying asphalt for Paul Baker Construction and most recently volunteer referee and referee critic from the stands and his couch. His hobbies include anything with his boys including attending all of their sporting events throughout the years, arrowhead hunting, hunting for morel mushrooms, camping, fishing and spending time with his friends. He was an avid NASCAR, OU and OKC Thunder fan and loved watching just about any sport. Whenever Rex was around, everyone knew it because of his loud voice. Monday, January 02, 2017Some of the best memories are 4th of July rib dinners and driving up the lake to Duck Creek for the fireworks.Not one to sit still for long. Rod build Hammerhead Marina, bought a restaurant in Ketchum and was part owner of Goldie’s in Muskogee.As time went by his love of fishing hunting took up a lot of his time. Rod loved to go to our farm-hunting lodge (Bucksnort Farms) in Welch. Rod and son Jimbo grew crops and raised black Angus cattle.Rod loved his wife, Marie, beyond description. They traveled coast-to-coast and border-to-border (dogs included) in their “bus”; from the great Northwest to Disney World. They had a partnership that should be anyone’s goal. Numerous ventures prospered, farmlands, children, and grandchildren grew, but his joy for living with his “woman” (as firmly stated last week!) stood above them all.Rod was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Sims Coleman.Rod’s family includes his son Bill (BC) Coleman and wife Mary Jane of Norman, Ok, Granddaughter Allison and spouse Spencer Parker, grandsons Russ and Jack and Granddaughter Jill.Son Michael (Mick) Coleman and wife Mona of Southaven, Ms. Granddaughter Casey and spouse JohnGleysteen and Grandson Michael Coleman.Son Jared (Jerry) Coleman and wife Mary Lea of North Little Rock, Ar. Brandan was a member of Church of Christ (Christian Disciples) in Carrollton.Brandan married Nicole “Nikki” Rae (Ketchum) May 10, 2008; who survives along with his three children, Tristan Logan, Connor Logan and Brendon Logan of the residence; his father Brian Logan; a sister, Teaya Logan of Canton; paternal grandmother, Marsha Logan; an uncle, James Logan of Carrollton; and a nephew Jaden Lab.He was preceded in death by his mother Jewel; grandmother, Joy Lang; grandfather Clifford “Gene” Logan; and an uncle, Steven Logan.Calling hours will be Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. till noon in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. The funeral service will be at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Doak officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Carrollton.
