St. Joseph County, Ind.-- Due in court Monday is a Mishawaka man accused of shooting and killing another man in downtown South Bend.Michael Young is charged in the death of Markest Flowers.The incident happened on May 31 at the corner of Main and Colfax.Witnesses told police Flowers was walking back and forth at the corner carrying a cup.They say Young was talking to Flowers, then grabbed Flowers by his backpack, spun him around and shoved a gun in his face.Officers found Flowers' body in the street with a gunshot wound to the head.Young told detectives he felt threatened and didn't intend for the gun to go off.His trial is set to begin October 17.
