Burial will follow in the Karoma Cemetery in Goltry under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.Lavatta was born September 11, 1951 in Enid to Thurman and Betty Harman Sparks and passed away June 13, 2017 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home. She attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from East Central University in Ada. Lavatta lived in McAlester where she taught the blind. She moved back to Enid where she worked for DHS teaching the blind. Lavatta attended Community Bible Church and Victory Bible Church. She was an avid swimmer at the YMCA. Lavatta is survived by her mother Betty of Goltry, two sisters Larue Buller and husband Lyle of Enid, Rhonda Sanders and husband Vernon, Jr of Goltry and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds. Alday, Dr. Armando C. Went home to the Lord on June 15, 2017. Born in Tubac, Az August 4, 1940 to Cruz and Inez Alday; he is survived by his wife , Fran; his three children , Joan Salvestrini (Ken), Craig Alday (Hope), Kim Maningo (Lance); and his brother Joe Alday (Belinda). He graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Spanish, a Master’s in counseling and guidance, and a PHD in Administration. He worked for the Federal Department in Man Power as a counselor, for TUSD as a counselor, assistant principal, and a principal. He devoted his life to children and his church. Services will be held July 1, 2017 with a rosary at 10:00 followed by mass at 10:30 am at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte. A luncheon/party will follow at the hall. NEW PORT RICHEY — Pasco County commissioners revealed a plan to earmark $2.2 million for Moon Lake Road improvements during a budget workshop Tuesday morning.That money will go toward adding shoulders to the entire stretch of the roughly 5-mile thoroughfare as well as signs warning of curves ahead.During the public comment portion of the workshop, family members of two River Ridge High School students killed in a July car wreck on the road — Courtney Little and Kimberlee Markou — pleaded with commissioners to do something about the roadway.“We know this road is dangerous; you have all the numbers and you can’t argue with that,” said Stacy Little, Courtney’s stepmother. “We lost our child. We feel like she didn’t have to die this way. Our lives are changed forever. Our children’s lives are changed forever. Lincoln, Neb.In 1968, in Sedalia, he married Wanda Lewis, who resides of the home. Children are Linda Williams and husband Doug of Lebanon, Michael Barber of Lebanon, Donna Hendrickson of Spearman, Texas, Lori McCullough and husband David of Sedalia, David Sorrell and wife Deann of Columbia and Scott Sorrell and wife Missy of Rolla.Al lived many years in Monroe City where he worked at a hotel before he went to work for the Henderson Produce Company where he became plant manager.While working at Henderson’s, Al was drafted into the Army. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was trained as a surgical technician and served in a medical unit for the 192nd Ordnance Battalion. He served in the South Pacific during the Second World War including the Battle of Okinawa. Al was the last surviving veteran of the company with whom he served.After the war, Al returned to his work at Henderson’s until he moved to Sedalia in 1965 where he worked for MFA, Swift and Company, and Central States Tool and Engine. Al worked at Central States until his full retirement in 1994.In his spare time, Al enjoyed working on cars and small engines, particularly lawn mowers. (Buzzard) Schultz. Along with her late husband, Don, she was the owner and operator of Harshbargers, Inc., and was also employed at the Hampton Inn and the 911 Air Force Base, both in Moon Twp.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E.
