Monday, December 05, 2016University of Fribourg in Switzerland before marrying William Henry Hodges in 1953.Afterward, the couple moved to Alexandria, and Hodges later told her children that she cried all the way to Bunkie as they followed the moving truck out of New Orleans. But the couple continued to travel between the two cities, and after her husband died in 1982, she purchased a home in New Orleans to make back-and-forth travel easier.Survivors include two sons, William Henry Hodges Jr. of Durham, North Carolina, and Philip Nalty Hodges of New Orleans; two daughters, Lucille Joy Hodges of Atlanta and Mathilde Hodges Sateri, of Bethesda, Maryland; and seven grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday in Alexandria and on Saturday in New Orleans, where a Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave. Her nephew, Monsignor Christopher Nalty of St. Stephen Church, will celebrate the Mass along with another nephew, the Rev. Hampton Davis from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Arrangements are being handled by Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
