William Bryan "Billy" Jennings, age 73, passed away on March 28, 2017. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers: Cheryl Henry, Bubba Jennings, Chuck Totten, Henry Stamps, Joe Scarpaci, and Buck Hall. Upon retirement he moved to Lee in 1983 where he worked and retired from Dixie Packers.  He had lived in Jennings since 2004. He loved to fish.He is survived by his wife, Brenda Dian Walker of Jennings; two sons, Tonney D. Walker (Retha) of Jennings and Jamey L Walker of Gainesville, Ga.; three daughters: Linda D. McMullen (Edwin) of Lee, Kelly Walker-Crosby (Nathan) of Statenville, Ga., and Lori M. He married Sue Walker in August of 1965 and together they have three children: Philip Crome (Julie) of Elizabeth, IL, Aaron Crome (Mary) of Marshall, Illinois and Sara Jones of Champaign, Illinois. Richard is also survived by an adopted son, Jaime Ortiz (Jasmine) of Hawaii, a sister, Ruth Ann Michels of Mohill, North Dakota, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Keith (Helen) Crome of Albion; 7 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his stepmother, Delphia Crome; two brothers, George and Wayne “Keith” Crome; and twin sisters, Eva Stevens and Evelyn Harlow.Richard was a graduate of Edwards County High School in Albion and furthered his education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where he received his Bachelors degree in language studies. He later earned a Master’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University. Mr. Crome began his teaching career at Lawrenceville High School and went on to teach at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, IL. He then accepted a teaching position with Eastern Illinois University where he was a language professor for more than 20 years.Richard possessed an avid love for raising sheep which began at the age of 10, and has worked in cooperation with many organizations throughout the world in the advancement of sheep production. His love for sheep, travel, dogs and teaching continued throughout his entire life. His love for the Spanish language and culture also began at an early age after visiting extended family in Mexico.
