Texas, went home to be with the Lord February 3rd 2017, after 18 years of brave challenges with a traumatic brain injury.Tom was born on January 3rd, 1951 in Fairfield, Illinois. He graduated from Grayville Community High School in Grayville Illinois, in 1969, where he was a member of the Beta Club and Boy Scouts. Tom graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1973 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology.In the Southern Illinois area, Tom practiced civil engineering with firms Moldovan & Associates, Inc. and Watwood & Heavener, Inc.; ten years in Florida with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, and AIM Engineering and Surveyors, Inc. in Ft. Myers, Florida. Moving to Dallas, Texas, he became a Vice President with Bridgefarmer & Associates. Tom loved roadway design and construction. He liked to see “Dirt at Work”. His 22 years as a Professional Engineer in Illinois, Florida, and Texas brought him much gratification. Tom was a Registered Land Surveyor in Illinois and Florida.Professional affiliations included The American Society of Civil Engineers and Illinois Professional Engineer Association. Shirley Bransom-CosperShirley Conley Bransom-Cosper, 76, died Saturday, December 3, 2016.Shirley was born May 25, 1940, in Rayville, Louisiana to the late Eddie Conley and Pearl Conley. At age 11, her family moved to Fort Worth. She graduated from Technical High School in 1958. She was married to Dub Bransom for 40 years and raised a family. Over the years, Shirley worked at Worth Oil, co-owned Bransom Floor Service and held many civic positions.Shirley was active in many organizations, including President of the Fort Worth Police Officers’ Association Ladies Auxiliary, ZONTA, Trimble Tech reunion committee, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and took great joy in participating in her church, Travis Avenue Baptist. She maintained strong relationships with her high school peers and was named the Trimble Tech Coming Home Queen 1984.Shirley was a beautiful and loving person who was passionate about her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
