Pauline Virginia Gainer, 92, died at The Heritage, St. Marys, W.Va., Thursday, September 8, 2016, following an illness of a few weeks.She was born February 27, 1924, in Calhoun County, W.Va., near Grantsville.Pauline was a 1942 graduate of Calhoun County High School.She is survived by three sons, Larry (Sharon) of St. Marys, Gary (Connie) and Terry (Faynell) both of Weston, W.Va. Also, surviving are five grandchildren, Lance Gainer of Washington, W.Va., Shawn Gainer of Cumberland, Md., Christopher Gainer of Buckhannon, W.Va., Jennifer Stewart of Clarksburg, W.Va. and Matthew David Gainer of Charlotte, N.C.; as well as several great-grandchildren.Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Judson and Naomi Riddle; and six brothers and sisters, Alpha Riddle, Geneva Conrad, Stella Reed, Augusta Riddle, Arden Riddle; and twin brother, Paul Virgil Riddle.Pauline worked as a nurse's aide at Calhoun General Hospital and as a secretary at Normantown High School and Glenville State College. She also served as secretary of the Pleasants County Senior Citizens for several years.She was a church member for most of her adult life, having attended the Rush Run Baptist Church, the Normantown...
