Kalope "Kay" (Makroglous) Souliotis, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3.She first met her love Michael at the "Mayfair Tea Room" in Haverhill where she worked as a waitress. They were engaged throughout World War II and where married on Sept. 2, 1945. Souliotis was born April 12, 1923, raised in the "Bradley Brook" countryside section of Haverhill, and graduated from Haverhill High School. She was worked for many years as a top-stitcher at Eastern Canvas in Haverhill after which she enjoyed her many years of retirement from age 62 with her children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Her home, where she lived for 70 years, on Washington Street in Haverhill, was filled with family and friends, laughter and love, homemade clothes, flowers from her garden and apple pie in the oven. The last years of her life were spent at the home of her daughter and her husband, Sandra and Joseph Turner on Plum Island. She was proud first generation American from Greek parents who immigrated to America from Turkey, she recited the pledge of allegiance and sang" God Bless America" every morning.Kay's surviving family members includ...

Celia (Palen) Sudol, 88, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away Thursday morning, July 7, at Holy Family at Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Sudol.Born in Haverhill, June 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Wieczerxak) Palen and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She worked at Western Electric as a coil winder, retiring after more than 30 years of service. Her enjoyments included playing Bingo, reading, trips to Foxwoods, and above all else, her children, grandchildren and family gatherings.She leaves her two sons, Michael Sudol and the mother of his two children, Eleanor Sudol and Thomas Sudol and the mother of his two children, Linda Sudol, all of Haverhill; six  grandchildren, Eric, Karen, John, Michael, Derrick and Jason; three sisters, Frances, Kay and Patty; brother, Freddie; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.A graveside service for family and friends takes place Friday, July 15, 11 a.m., at St. Patri...

Joseph DiPrimo, 84, of Haverhill, died on June 18, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston.Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Lawrence, he was the son of Antonio and Concentina (Bonfiglio) DiPrimo. He was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1950. He went on to serve in the United States Naval Air Corp in the Anti-Submarine Squadron. Following his honorable discharge, DiPrimo went on to pursue a career in electronics, earning an associate's degree from UMass Lowell in Engineering. He formed several electronic companies including Semi-Conductor Circuit, Instant Instruments in Haverhill, and most recently AAK Corporation in Plaistow, N.H., with his wife, Elaine. He also served as treasurer of the Boy Scouts of America Ayers Village Council from 1970 until 1974. A wintertime resident of Melbourne Beach, FL, Joe enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife, family, and friends. Tewksbury Funeral Home. TEWKSBURY - Gerald T. O’Brien (Jerry “O”), father and grandfather, passed away July 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at the Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill. He was the beloved fiancée of Jean “Santarlasci” Collins of Tewksbury for 16 years. Jerry was born in Somerville, MA in July, 1955, the son of the late Rudolph and Mary “Gerry” (Kerr) Mercuri formerly of Billerica, MA. Jerry was employed at Boutiette’s Auto Body of Tewksbury for over 5 years. He was also a DJ for 20 plus years, playing at clubs, private functions, weddings and charity events. Before becoming a DJ, Jerry ran the lights and sound-board for some of the best local bands in New England, including the rock band “Love Lace” and show band “Larry and the Exciters”. He ran lights and sound-board for famous country artists, such as Billy Rae Cyrus and Reba McEntire. Jerry was an avid New England sports fan. He loved fishing, and he loved playing on his dart league for over 30 years. Jerry won many championships and trophies playing darts! He loved playing Keno, cards, and going to the casino.
