Hudson – Ellen T. (Shanahan) Lee, 92, of Hudson and formerly of Bolton, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at The Reservoir Center in Marlborough. She was the wife for 40 years of the late David I. Lee, who died in 1986.She was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of the late William J. and Theresa (Marinelli) Shanahan, and was a 1942 graduate of St. Michael’s Catholic High School in Hudson.Ellen was a chef for Nashoba Regional High School for 38 years, retiring in 2000, and previously worked at LaPointe Machine Tool Co. in Hudson for several years.She enjoyed music, dancing, swimming, cooking, and was an avid reader. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed a special bond with her grandchildren.She leaves three daughters, Mary J. Nichols and her husband Jeffrey of Bolton, Virginia A. Lee of Hudson, and Christine R. Marlborough – Sister Rose Clarisse (Pauline) Gadoury, 87, a Sister of St. Anne, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 in UMass Marlborough Hospital.Born in Dudley, she was the tenth surviving child of Emilien and Rosanna (St. Martin) Gadoury. She attended St. Anne School in Webster and the former St. Anne Academy (Marlborough), earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Anna Maria College (Paxton), an MA from Duquesne University, and a Doctoral degree in ministry from Boston University, School of Theology, and received an Honorary Doctorate in Education from Anna Maria College.She joined the Sisters of St. Anne in Lachine, Quebec in 1949, pronounced vows in 1950 and returned to New England to begin teaching. She taught music and religion in schools staffed by the Sisters of St. Anne in Newton and in Worcester (Holy Name High School). Marlborough – Mary (Talty) Geagan Lombardo, 92, of Marlborough, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at Coleman House of Northborough. Born and raised in County Clare, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Talty) Talty, and the wife of the late Nicholas Lombardo, who died in 2005.Mary immigrated to the United States from England in 1950, where she met her first husband, the late John Geagan.She had an engaging personality, enjoying everyone she met and they in turn enjoyed her.
