Robert M. “Rob” Sullivan, 54 of Bridgeport, CT formerly of Shrewsbury passed away on June 10, 2017.He was born in Worcester son of the late John and Marilyn (Johnson) Sullivan. He leaves two sisters, June Eressy and her husband Michael and Nancy Buniowski, both of Worcester; also survived by five nieces, two nephews; and his dear friends Geri and John Whitlock of Fairfield, CT. He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Sullivan and his brother-in-law Steven Buniowski.Rob was a graduate of Saint John’s High School and Fairfield University. He worked as a journalist for many years and served as the editor of the Bridgeport Banner. His book Political Corruption in Bridgeport was published in 2014. Rob loved politics and was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams. Above all, he was a man of great faith and was a devout Catholic.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass celebrating Rob’s life on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be private at a later date.

Marion Kay Kalafsky, age 73 of Tinton Falls died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury in Tinton Falls. Born in Greensboro, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Mather, PA and Oakhurst before moving to Tinton Falls. Kay was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Jefferson in Plum Borough, PA and the Presbyterian Church in Allison Park PA before the Lutheran Memorial Church in Tinton Falls. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Jane Kalafsky; her brother, Frank Kalafsky, Jr. and her sister, Frances Kalafsky. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Paula Kalafsky; her nephew, Kurt Kalafsky; her niece, Karen Morren and 6 great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am at the Belm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA. Leonard P. “Coach” Montigny, 53, of Shrewsbury died Monday March 20, 2017 in Massachusetts General Hospital after an illness.He was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, son of the late Jean P. and Carol A. (Guertin) Montigny. Len graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1981, Anna Maria College in 1985 and continued his education with an MST from Bentley University and an MBA from Assumption College.Len had worked as a Certified Public Accountant in various capacities, most notably in his own tax practice for 25 years. His true loves were watching sports, coaching basketball and spending time on the Cape.He leaves his loving wife of 23 years, Lisa A. (Tracy) Montigny; four beautiful daughters, Rachael, Julia, Kate, and Erin all of Shrewsbury; a sister, Lori A. SHREWSBURY- Karen A. (Tymon) Zona, 60, of Shrewsbury died Friday March 24, 2017 after a short illness. Karen was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury daughter of the late Francis and Nellie (Tozeski) Tymon. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1974 and Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Services. Karen was the Assistant Clerk of Courts at the Worcester Superior Court for 40 years; she was still working at the time of her illness.Karen was predeceased in 1999, by her beloved husband of 10 years, John A. “Jack” Zona. Alice Anne Tishue, 98, of Shrewsbury passed Friday on the eve of her 71st wedding anniversary, March 24th11:45 PM at Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.Alice was born in Varennes-sur-Allier, Allier, France, the daughter of Pierre-Clement Perichon and Gabrielle Baudet and was fluent in three languages. She grew up in Vichy and Varrennes-sur-Allier with lots of close family nearby. She left Paris, France after WWII to marry former US Army G.I. Charles W. Tishue on March 25th, 1946 in Uniontown, PA. They met when Charles served under Patton’s 5th Infantry Division in the European Theater where he was decorated with a Bronze Star. Alice was a very caring and serving wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren dearly and perfected making clothes for them. She enjoyed gifting food and monies to those in need.
