Crosby, TX.; Eleven Grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; one step daughter, Isabella St. Andre of Lafayette; two step sons, Anthony Guillory of Westminister, CA and Murray and wife, Bertha Guillory of Church Point.; a host of step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mr. Malbrough was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council 79. During his membership in the Council he served as the Grand Knight and Treasurer. He was also a member of the Cursillo, Our Mother of Mercy Church Parish Council, Usher Board at Our Mother of Mercy Church, Church Point Trail Riders where at one time he did server as the President and also was a member of the Southern Consumer Co-op. Mr. Malbrough was a bus driver for Acadia Parish School Board for twenty five years. He was the owner of Malbrough’s grocery store in Church Point and was a life long agriculture farmer in Acadia Parish. Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church.Iona passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Wisner Care Center.Iona Ida Roth, nee Wascher, was born July 18, 1915 to Ernst and Bertha Wascher, nee Zipf, at Beemer, EN. She lived with her parents on a farm three miles south of Beemer during her childhood.Iona received her education both secular and religious at the Immanuel Lutheran School four miles south of Beemer and received her high school diploma after taking an extension course from LaSalle University in Chicago later in life.Rev. M. Leimer baptized and confirmed Iona in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer. In this same church she was married to Ervin R. Roth by Rev. Carl Hellman on January 1, 1939.After their marriage they lived on a farm two and a half miles southwest of Bancroft and lived in the Bancroft vicinity until 1944, then moved to the Pender area and later purchased a farm eight miles north of Beemer in 1945.The Roths were members of Zion Lutheran Church at Bancroft and then at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Pender, where all of their children were confirmed. Iona was organist, Sunday School Teacher, and chairwoman of Ladies Aid.After moving to Omaha she joined Bethany Lutheran Church, their Library Guild, and served as treasurer and chairwoman. At present she held a membership at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Point and had been a member of L.W.M.L.She was a member of the Red Cross, held office of chairwoman and treasurer, volunteered at the hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels.Survivors include her children and their ...

She was educated in the public schools of Georgetown County. Mrs. Foster later resided in Brooklyn, New York, where she was employed for many years with Victoria Packing Company. Following retirement, in 2004 she returned to Georgetown and reestablished her membership at New Mt. CHECOTAH, Okla. Bertha M. Sherman Watson, 85, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in Checotah.Bertha Sherman Watson was born on Dec. 25, 1931, in Kyle, SD, to William and Victoria (Hunter) Sherman, and was a member of the Oglala-Lakota Indian tribe. She grew up in South Dakota and graduated from high school there. She married Jack Watson in 1959 and they soon moved to Las Vegas where Bertha worked as a costume designer for the Desert Inn stage productions and also for television and movie productions. They eventually moved to Talihina where they operated a cattle ranch for a number of years. After that they lived in Ruidoso, NM, before returning to Checotah 5 years ago. Bertha and Jack were huge fans of the National Finals Rodeo and had personally attended the event for over 50 consecutive years and were PRCA Gold Card members.
