Win-E-Mac High School gymnasium. In 1977 Jim married his soulmate (and the spice in his life), Roxanne Dufault and together, they had two amazing sons, Bryan and Bryce.Although Jim held many positions throughout his life, for the last 21 years, he was employed by the University of Minnesota as a county extension agent, serving many counties. Jim was passionate about his work and serving others and had an amazing ability to connect with people, listen and resolve any issues they may have been having. He enjoyed the challenges of his work along with everyone he got to meet throughout his incredible career.Jim retired on June 30th 2016 and focused his energy on fighting to live. Jim never allowed cancer to change his life. He continued to live by faith and with purpose- spending every moment he could enjoying his family and friends and the organic dairy farm he so loved.Jim lived for his family and especially cherished his time with his Grandchildren, Jens and Adler. They were his heart, his joy and his peace. He taught them to love the outdoors, animals and farming. Jens loved nothing more than to put on his boots and go out with his Grandpa to do chores, feed hay and greet each cow or take a ride in the tractor. He was so proud that they would be his legacy!Jim passed away peacefully on March 7th at 10:12PM at his beloved farm, surrounded by his family. Over the past year Jim had been battling and embracing his journey with cancer. Throughout his journey, Jim stayed true to who he was and what he stood for- impacting countless lives along the way with his kindness, support and encouragement.Jim is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Roxanne, his faithful son, Bryce, Andrea, who was more than a daughter than a daughter in law and his two precious grandchildren, Jens and Adler (McIntosh, MN).
