Monday, February 06, 2017Catherine A. Zinda 83, of Kerkhoven passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Friday, at The Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Kerkhoven. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home. www.hafh.org Catherine Anne (Fennell) Zinda was born on September 27, 1933, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Edmund and Margaret (Peerboom) Fennell. She grew up in the Benson and Danvers area and graduated from Benson High School in the class of 1951. She worked several jobs including Nash Finch in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Richard A. Zinda on May 22, 1954, at the Church of the Visitation in Danvers, MN. The couple farmed outside of Hollaway and later moved several times including Danube and Roland, Iowa. They settled in Kerkoven in 1979.
