David Hale Fanning Trade School. Tessie had worked as a very talented seamstress for the Slovin Company in Worcester for many years before she retired in 1980. She was a faithful member of Saint Joseph’s Church and volunteered many hours at the Auburn Senior Center. Tessie loved her many visits to Foxwoods and enjoyed being a member of the Auburn Senior Bowling League.She leaves her husband of 69 years, Stanley T. Mendys; a daughter, Carol Plotczyk of Grafton; four grandchildren, Andrew and Jeffrey Plotczyk, Eric and his wife Donna Goodhall and Maura Wolfe and her husband Thomas; a great grandchild, Johnny; and son-in-law, John Goodhall of Berkley She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Goodhall; two brothers, Stanley and Walter Leszczynski and a sister, Helen Rossik.Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tessie’s family on Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 before leaving in procession to Saint Joseph’s Church for her funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.

Josh Kidwell, Daniel Delaney, Billy Short, and Corbin Allen.Cecil Wayne ConnCecil Wayne ConnCecil Wayne Conn, age 81, widower of Opal Lee Anderkin Conn, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Nicholasville Ky. He was born in Garrard County, Ky. to the late Walter Lee and Bertha Scroggins Conn.He was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Ky. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco after 22 years of service. Cecil was a part time house painter for over 29 years with his wife Opal a craft they loved doing together. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.Cecil is survived by his children, two sons, Darrell Conn, and his wife Christine, of Lexington Ky., Walter Conn, and his wife Tammy, of Nicholasville Ky., one daughter, Mary Frances Conn of Lawrenceburg, Ky., one brother, Harold Edward Conn of Garrard Co., two sisters, Anna Frances Lear of Berea, Ky., and Lucy Kathleen Carpenter of Lancaster Ky., three grandchildren, Maddie Conn, Olivia Conn, Candice Long, three great grandchildren, Tiffany, Lillian, and Addison Long.Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday April 8, 2017 at Davis and Powell Funeral Home with Rev. She was born March 19, 1963 in Berea, Ky. to the late Henry Thomas Phelps and Catherine Marie Walker Phelps. Shirley enjoyed the Horizon Adult Day Care, the dance contest where she won 1st place, listening to music, playing bingo with friends, and spending time with her family. Shirley is of the Baptist faith.Other than her mother Shirley is survived by 2 daughters, Latasha Phelps, Rachel Phelps, 1 brother Timothy Phelps, 2 sisters Daisey Phelps, Emma Phelps, 1 granddaughter Semaj Phelps, and a special aunt and caregiver Gladys Jenkins all of Richmond Ky. Shirley was also preceded in death by one sister Mary Phelps.Services will be 1:00pm Friday April 14, 2017 at Abundant Life Ministries Church, 1705 Irvine Rd.

Our Lady of Vilna Church he was a member of the Knights of Lithuania and Knights of Columbus. For years he belonged to Saint Casimir’s Church in Worcester, until he moved to Auburn where he joined Saint Joseph’s Church. He was a founding member of the Lithuanian War Veterans Organization, serving as Commander in 1955. He was very active and enjoyed participating in a variety of committees, and organizing activities associated with the LWVO. He also was a member of the Chester P. Tuttle, Post #279, American Legion in Auburn, Massachusetts.Among the things he enjoyed most was playing cribbage in the Worcester Cribbage League, gardening, playing pinochle with family and friends, cooking, and for years he was the Manager of the Lithuanian War Veterans Drum and Bugle Corps, where he served as a surrogate parent and role model to numerous Worcester youth, and for which he was honored with the title of “Mr. Drum Corps” in 1963. Family was extremely important to him and he greatly enjoyed family cookouts and gatherings at the family home in Auburn. Tony leaves the love of his life and wife of 71 years, Helen (Ruksnaitis) Leketa of Auburn, three children, Anthony F. Leketa and his fiancee Victoria Lehr of Gambrills, Maryland, Robert J. Leketa and his wife Melanie J. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Cynthia A. Leketa of Auburn, Massachusetts, and a sister, Rita Lynch and her husband James Lynch of West Boylston. He leaves seven grandchildren Stacy Mongeau, Shane Leketa, Sherry Leketa, Sonya Crane, Stephanie Cleek, Sara Leketa and Anthony F. Leketa, Junior. He also was great-grandfather to ten great grandchildren and leaves numerous nieces and nephews.We will all miss our father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. She was a Homemaker, who was always a good dresser, and loved to dance and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.Virginia was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Harley Spillman; two brothers, Louis and Howard Martin; and a grandson, Wes Nigh.Survivors include; four daughters, Diane L.
