Catherine A. Zinda 83, of Kerkhoven passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Friday, at The Church of St. Mary in Willmar.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Kerkhoven.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home.  www.hafh.org Catherine Anne (Fennell) Zinda was born on September 27, 1933, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Edmund and Margaret (Peerboom) Fennell.  She grew up in the Benson and Danvers area and graduated from Benson High School in the class of 1951.  She worked several jobs including Nash Finch in Minneapolis.  She was united in marriage to Richard A. Zinda on May 22, 1954, at the Church of the Visitation in Danvers, MN.  The couple farmed outside of Hollaway and later moved several times including Danube and Roland, Iowa.  They settled in Kerkoven in 1979.  In addition to raising seven children; Catherine was a secretary at the Appleton School and Danube School.  She later worked as a secretary at Bethesda Herit...

WILLMAR, Minn. — Funeral services for a New London woman and a Spicer man killed this week in a Florida plane crash are being planned as family and friends mourn their deaths.The crash Tuesday night of the 2009 single-engine Epic LT plane — which left the Willmar airport earlier that day — killed the pilot, Daryl Ingalsbe, 67, of Spicer, and his partner, Deb Osborn Solsrud, 51, of New London.The couple were traveling to Ingalsbe’s second home in Spruce Creek, Fla., located near Daytona Beach.Ingalsbe was president and CEO of Independent Technologies Inc., which is based in Blair, Neb., but has a facility in New London.According to its website, the company sells communication and diagnostic products for telecommunications, power utilities, cable TV, energy and information technology markets.The company issued a brief statement Thursday saying they had “suffered a tragic loss” when Ingalsbe died in the plane crash.“We offer our sincerest condolences and prayers to Daryl’s family, friends...
