Hancock, Kailyn Grace Age 13 Kailyn Grace Hancock of Columbus, NE, was born March 22, 2003 in Omaha, NE to William and Stephanie (Graves) Hancock. Kailyn grew up in Yutan, NE, until moving to Columbus in July 2011. She was an eighth grader at Lakeview Jr/Sr High. Kailyn loved animals and had aspired to be a veterinarian. She was a student manager for the Lakeview Viqueens Softball Team. Kailyn was involved in softball, basketball, track, and dance. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and her loving spirit. Kailyn was a great daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her parents Bill and Stephanie Hancock; sister Jordan Hancock; brother Izaiah Hancock; sister Charizma Hancock; sister Liliana Hancock; grandparents, Barb and Fred Kottmann of Omaha, Audrey and Bob Williams of Omaha, Jimmy and Joanne Graves of Omaha, and Richard Hancock of Yutan; great-grandparents Shirley Adams of Omaha and Lorraine Syverson of Wahoo, NE. Omaha, NE, to Christian "Chris" and Bertha (Mumm) Kolb. As a child Margie's family lived in the Memphis and Greenwood areas. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the St. John Lutheran Church in Yutan. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1939 and worked at the Nebraska Ordinance Plant in Mead prior to her marriage to Ernest W. "Ernie" Swanson on June 18, 1942. She was Co-Founder of Ernie's In Ceresco. She was a former associate of Nelson-Metcalf Funeral Home, a member of Ceresco Evangelical Covenant Church, Past State President of the American Legion Auxiliary-Department of Nebraska and member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #244 in Ceresco, member Douglas County 40 & 8 and Volunteer Coordinator at the Lincoln Veteran's Hospital.
