Doc served on the Garfield County Sheriffs Auxiliary, was a life member of the NRA and a member of the Shelby Club of America. Albert Tripodi. For many years, they were active in planning the reunions that brought the Class of the 1941 Tigers back together. Following graduation, she completed studies at Garfield Business School and took a position as office manager for Beco Products during the World War II years.When Al returned from active duty, they rekindled a friendship which soon blossomed into a love story that lasted many years - they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 26, 2017.Dee and Al's early life together was blessed with the arrival of two children, Jim and Pam. Al worked at Babcock & Wilcox while Dee tended lovingly to their family. Then, Al was asked to take over management of the B&W Employees Federal Credit Union. Dee served as the only full-time employee of the fledgling organization, an institution that she helped nourish and thrive to eventually become Beaver Valley Federal Credit Union.In those early days of the B&W credit union, Dee was the office manager of the operation that they ran out of their College Hill home for more than 12 years. While Al worked his shifts at B&W and served the credit union as part-time treasurer and manager, Dee managed the day-to-day operations of the credit union. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.Nadine was born May 31, 1921 on her grandparent’s farm in Garfield, County. Her early school years were spent in a little country school, and then she graduated from Garber High School in 1937. She married Emanuel Herbert on August 21, 1940 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in Breckinridge. She was a helping hand to Emanuel on the family farm, driving wheat trucks, caring for the cattle, or whatever other chores were needed on a daily basis. Nadine excelled in sewing, making her daughters clothes, baking and cooking chicken noodles and pecan rolls for family dinners, as well as having a natural talent for use of colors and decorating. Nadine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge and the Priscilla Society. She enjoyed helping make many quilts that were sent overseas as mission projects. Nadine was a faithful member of the Love, Truth, and Loyalty Home Extension Club for many years and served as a president of the county EHG Council. She also enjoyed serving as a class parent, attending many school activities as well as chaperoning two senior trips.She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Blaser Hermanski; husband Emanuel Herbert, daughter Linda Aebi, grandson Kyle Aebi; son-in-law Gary Semrad; sister Dorothy Sargent, and brother, Bud...
