Marion Kay Kalafsky, age 73 of Tinton Falls died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury in Tinton Falls. Born in Greensboro, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Mather, PA and Oakhurst before moving to Tinton Falls. Kay was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Jefferson in Plum Borough, PA and the Presbyterian Church in Allison Park PA before the Lutheran Memorial Church in Tinton Falls. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Jane Kalafsky; her brother, Frank Kalafsky, Jr. and her sister, Frances Kalafsky. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Paula Kalafsky; her nephew, Kurt Kalafsky; her niece, Karen Morren and 6 great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am at the Belm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA. Surviving are his wife, Susan Penta; a son, Anthony Penta and his wife Vivian of Lincroft; 2 daughters, Daniella Penta and her husband Victor Wymbs of Oakhurst, Gabriella Heizler and her husband Gregory of Island Heights; 2 brothers, Mario Penta of Colliano, Italy, Leonardo Penta of Bayville; a sister Maria DeVito and her husband Dario of West Long Branch; a brother-in-law, Leonard Kroen and his wife Jill of Pinehurst, NC; and 3 grandchildren, Landon Franco Penta, Max William Heizler and Mia Annabelle Heizler. Franco considered all of his customers to be an extension of his beloved family, especially all of the police officers and firemen he considered friends. He loved Monmouth Park Racetrack, Fiorentina soccer and his walks on the Long Branch boardwalk. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. They always brought a special twinkle to his eye, a hop to his step, and a smile to his face.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, from 4-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.,) in Long Branch.
