Being the administrator was a really nice cap on his career."James Vincent Convery III, raised in Paterson and Hawthorne, taught social studies at Paterson’s School 5 while attending college in the evening. But teaching never was a career goal; he wanted to follow his father into law, his wife said.He worked in private practice for two years after graduating from the New England School of Law and joined Passaic County government in 1976.Mr. Convery died of cancer on Aug. 30 at his home in Little Egg Harbor. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; his children, Elizabeth Convery of Glen Rock, Karen Ciaramella of Montclair and James Convery of Shrewsbury; three siblings, Dr. Patricia Glover of Huntington Beach, Calif., Charles Convery of Waldwick and Mary Orr of Mahwah; and six grandchildren.The funeral was held Saturday at St. Anthony’s R.C. VNA of Philadelphia Hospice Falls Center, Philadelphia on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was 74.He was the beloved husband of Sherry (Schellert) Mault.Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Leo A. and Louise V. (Adelman) Mault. A 1965 graduate of the University of Scranton, Don later earned his Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1971.Don spent his early career in education before he transitioned into sales. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, he was the successful owner of two West Coast Video franchises in Doylestown and New Britain.Mr. Mault had attended St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. An avid Revolutionary War re-enactor, Don also collected historical memorabilia. Along with his wife, he had enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, traveling to rallies in Daytona Beach, Florida; Laconia, New Hampshire; and Sturgis, South Dakota. Additionally, Don enjoyed bird watching and gardening. He also carved duck decoys and collected die cast cars.Don’s courage and strength in his battle with cancer were an inspiration to all who knew him. On September 28, 2016 Nancy J. Nightingale-Mills passed away peacefully at the Ozark Health Care Facility in Clinton, Arkansas. Nancy was 90 years old. She had a full life. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 4th, 1925. Nancy lived in Salinas, California working as a social worker for Monterey County. After retiring she moved to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. She is survived by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, and one Great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son. In retirement she liked to travel and go to theaters, art galleries, and jazz festivals. Nancy was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Fairfield Bay.
