Deborah LaPoint, 68, of County Route 125, Chaumont, passed away Saturday, December 17, at the home of her daughter in Chaumont under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and surrounded by her family.She was born March 3, 1948, in Watertown, NY and was the daughter of the late Arlington James and Billie Smith Countryman.She was a talented artist, architectural designer, and draftsman. She also enjoyed gardening, loved spending time on Lake Ontario at the family camp, and traveling to visit family. Deborah lived and worked in many places including Kokomo, IN, San Antonio and Corpus Christi, TX, and Watertown, NY.She is survived by a daughter, Carrie LaPoint, Chaumont; a son and his wife, Matthew and Nicole LaPoint, Charleston, SC; two brothers, Michael and Pamela Countryman and Kyle and Michael Countryman, all of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Uriah and Kyle Nance, Chaumont and Abigail and Addison LaPoint, Charleston, SC; and two nieces, Heather and Holly Countryman, San Antonio, TX.Calling hours will be held, Wednesday...
