Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester.Waldo was born in Grafton, son of the late Waldo N. Sr. and Hazel Pierce. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He worked for Norton Company of Worcester as a pipefitter for 27 years. He served as a Private First Class in the US Army Infantry during World War II, working in Japan for a short time. He was an avid golfer and family man. He loved to travel to Maine, Hawaii, and California. Waldo was an active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn and was a member of their men’s group for many years. Waldo was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Barbara M. Pierce, this past November. He is survived by two daughters, Joann L. Monks and her husband, Darren Monks of Auburn, and Donna M. Godfrey of Lunenburg; two granddaughters, Heather L. and Jessica L. Monks both of Auburn; a great grandson, Hayden J. Monks of Auburn; and is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He has been a resident of Norton for the past 25 years.He worked as a self-employed mechanic at Alan's Auto Repair in North Attleboro for many years.He loved fishing and camping and trips on the Allagash in Maine. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed golfing.
