Aurora, NY; a sister, Sue Lameroux of Cornwall, Ontario; eight grandchildren: Dr. Nicholas Marney and husband Rodrigo Pedroza of New Orleans, Ryan Marney and his wife Sarah of Cary, NC;  Brian Patrick, Emily and Julia Wade, all of Gates, NY; JP, Michael and Lizzy Wade, all of Clinton, NY; three great-grandchildren: Noah, Ethan and Madelyn Marney and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian is also survived his brothers-in-law, Bud Warren of Virginia Beach and John Warren of Ogdensburg, whom he considered both family and his dear friends.A son, Brian J. Meteorology, and after basic training spent a year of study at Bowdoin College in Maine. He was then assigned to a second year of study in Ontario with the Canadian Air Force, before finishing his 3 years of Army service as a Radar Technologist, working on the first radar systems used in defense.John traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe, and he continued to greatly enjoy travel throughout his life, with a special affinity for Italy.John was an electrical engineer who worked for General Electric and Raytheon, and retired from GTE in January 1987. After his retirement, John enjoyed a second career working as a strong advocate for the seniors of Shrewsbury. He played a pivotal role in the planning and building of the Shrewsbury Senior Center, and regularly enjoyed their many activities, particularly participating in weekly games of bridge. John was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Parish and he treasured his time there. Along with his family, the church was of vital importance to him. John was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Adelphi Council #4181 in Shrewsbury. He was an avid reader especially with the St. Mary's Thomas Merton study group, and enjoyed gardening, playing cribbage, and watching all sports, especially the Red Sox.John is survived by his seven children, George P. Concordia and his wife Margaret Cahill of Arlington Heights, IL, Fr. Stephen Concordia, O.S.B., of Latrobe, PA, Patricia Concordia and her husband Winston Lloyd of Hyde Park, John P. Karen Louise BuschJuly 31, 1943 - February 19, 2017Karen Louise (Dahle) Busch passed away peacefully at her home in Ontario, Oregon on February 19, 2017. By her side were her daughter Kari and husband of 53 years, Leo Busch.Karen was born to Irvin and Mildred Dahle on July 31, 1943 outside of Velva, North Dakota. Truly a “coal miner's daughter,” Karen spent her early years with her parents and two siblings growing up around the Truax-Traer coal mining community near Velva. When the family later moved into town, she graduated from Velva High School.Karen landed a job out of high school at the local bank before landing husband Leo from the nearby farming community of Sawyer. Married on June 2, 1963, Leo swept Karen off her feet and straight to the family farm near Sawyer.The farm life wasn't for them, though, and so began Karen's life of travel. Karen and Leo moved with son Mark to Fargo, North Dakota where Leo attended NDSU. Jackie Blanchard, age 57, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017.She was born in New Market, Ontario to George and Iris Craven Hounslow. Mrs. Blanchard worked for St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She enjoyed catch and release fishing with the family and threw darts competitively. Mrs. Blanchard loved going to the beach and greeted everyone with a hug and a smile.She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Michael Blanchard; three sons, Michael T. Blanchard and his wife Chelsea of Murfreesboro, Christopher G. Blanchard of Murfreesboro, and Nicholas R. ONTARIO, Ore. — Charges are pending against a Nampa man suspected of stabbing and kidnapping a woman prior to a deadly car chase in Ontario.“The caller described there was a female being stabbed right in front of her, she was very hysterical,” said David Goldthorpe, Malheur County district attorney.Ontario Police said that when they arrived, the suspect fled with the woman in a black 2014 Dodge Ram pickup, and police pursued the vehicle in the city and then south onto Highway 201.The pickup crossed the center line and collided with a 2001 Ford Excursion on Highway 201 near the intersection with Southwest 18th Avenue, Goldthorpe said.The driver of the Ford, David Bates, died at the scene of the crash. His wife, Jessica Bates, was a passenger in the Ford and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
