Monday, June 12 at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel. William passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Omni Manor Care Center at the age of 58. He was born November 21, 1958 in Youngstown the son of Angel Luis, Sr. and Juanita (Rivera) Zayas. He worked in the shipping and receiving department of Brentwood Manufacturing until his retirement in September of 2016. William attended Grace Fellowship Church in Niles. William enjoyed cars. He loved to work on them as well as attend car shows and swap meets. William leaves his mother, Juanita of Lordstown; two children, Jen Zayas of Niles and William Zayas, Jr. of Campbell; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan and Dominic and his siblings, Margaret (William) Alvarez of Warren, Jose (Lori) Zayas of North Jackson, Lydia Morales of Florida, Esther Zayas of Puerto Rico and Juan Zayas of Lordstown. Sr.) Chalfant of Youngstown, Ohio; siblings, Ethel Ford, Hannah McKnight, Margaret Cornelius, Elise Gates, Sally Hess and Joe Bollman; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.Besides her parents Nevada was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William D Ruby; siblings, Ruth Tedrow, Paul Bollman, Dolly DuVall, Maryann Weaver, David Bollman; two grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.While Nevada had a hard life her family said that she was the most kind and loving mother anyone could ever have, that she made sure all of her grandchildren had a blanket made by her own hand, that her door was always open and no matter how little she had nobody was ever turned away because she would make a place for them so they felt welcome. CHAMPION ? Donald E. Kelley, 72, passed away Thursday morning, April 27, 2017, at his home. He was born April 8, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of Howard and Patricia (Shearer) Kelley. ?Don? worked for Caesar?s Palace in Las Vegas in the Engineering Department for 11 years before retiring. He had also worked as an HVAC technician, a cable installer, and was a certified motorcycle mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having proudly served during the Vietnam War. During his service, he spent time on several Navy ships as well as being stationed in Panama, Puerto Rico, Okinawa, Japan and Turkey before being honorably discharged. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and flying kites. He also played the drums, coached soccer, enjoyed making cheesecake and he raised pigs. Don also had a love for Mill Creek Park, Kravits Deli, The Elms Ballroom, and Idora Park, and he enjoyed listening to John Lee Hooker, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, and Janis Joplin. LOWELLVILLE ? Lynn A. Beatty, 49, died March 24, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Lynn was born Nov. 4, 1967, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Arlene Buser Barnard. She was a 1985 graduate of Girard High School. She was a manager at Chick-fil-A for 16 years. She was very involved in the Lowellville community and was on the Lowellville Boosters. Lynn was an avid reader and her children were her joy. She leaves her husband, Randy, whom she married Aug. 17, 1991; her parents, Robert and Arlene Barnard of Girard; two sons, Travis Beatty of Austintown and Cole Beatty at home; two step-sons, Ty Beatty of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jake (Joan) Beatty of Charleston, S.C.; two grandchildren, Dylan and Kylee; two sisters, Debbie Barnard of Girard and Dianne (Dale) Grimm of Lordstown; and one niece, Ashlee Wolfgang of Columbus. He was born in Sharon, Pa., on Jan. 21, 1959, to Dean S. and Dorothy L. (Maul) Reed. He grew up in Brookfield, and was a 1977 graduate of Brookfield High School. He graduated in 1979 from Youngstown State University. He married Gloria Jean Tranovich, in a ceremony in Youngstown, on Aug. 15, 1981. In 1984, the family moved to Massachusetts, where he began a career in the electrical contracting industry, starting out as an estimator and working up to a project manager for MEC Electrical. Mr. Reed liked to fish as well as play his guitar. He would hunt occasionally, but if he had any spare time, it was spent with his family. Time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren was most important to him. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gloria J. Reed of New Ipswich; his two daughters, Melissa Tapp of South Hadley, Mass. and Christa Reed of Dudley, Mass.; his brother, John Reed and a sister, Linda Lewnes, both of Florida; three grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylee and Owen; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Chapel, for Gary C. Cunningham, 69, who went home to be with his Lord on April 8, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, with his loving family by his side. Gary was born April 9, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of the late Clyde and Edna (Stanley) Cunningham. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1965, and had attended Youngstown State University. Gary worked in forklift sales and was the owner and operator of Diamond Equipment until his retirement in 2010. Gary was an active member of the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church, where he was an overseer of the church and enjoyed teaching the youth of the church as a Sunday school teacher or a part of the Bible school. He enjoyed horses, country music and playing the harmonica. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family and friends and attending all of his grandchildren?s sporting events.
