ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK (918) 336-5225 - Viola Maxine Henshall, age 90 and longtime Bartlesville resident, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 19, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Maxine Thomas was born on August 2, 1926, in Ramona, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William Ray Thomas and Jessie Fern (Cox) Thomas. She was raised in Ramona until the age of seven when the family moved to the Oglesby area. For most of her life she remained in the Bartlesville area.She attended Ramona Elementary, Tyner Elementary and graduated from eighth grade in 1940. She attended Junior and Senior High School in Ramona, later receiving her GED. She furthered her education by attending Draughon School of Business in 1977. Maxine enjoyed many different careers. She was employed with H&R Block in Tulsa as a tax consultant. She also worked for Dr. Zulkey in Tulsa as a receptionist and was a nurse aide for Charley and Helen Edwards. Moseley, age 90 and resident of Bernice, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017, in the Integris Grove Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma.Roy was born on March 29, 1927 in Pensacola, Oklahoma. He was the son of Dee Moseley and Melissa Jane (Holland) Moseley. Roy was raised in the Pensacola/Ketchum/Vinita, Oklahoma area. He attended Ketchum schools where he received his formal education.He and the former Lola Marie Rogers were united in marriage and they made their home in the Bernice area.Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he loyally served his country during WWII. Before his retirement, he was self-employed as an iron worker, building boat docks on Grand Lake. Memberships included the Iron Workers Union (Tulsa); and Quarter Master (1979-81) of the VFW in Bernice. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. University, graduating magna cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. In 2005, he went to work for ConocoPhillips in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he had the opportunity to travel to many countries, including Canada, Costa Rica, Norway, Russia, Peru and Indonesia.He moved to Dallas, Texas in 2007 to work for Hunt Oil Company, during which time he met Liesl Austin. They married in July of 2011 on the Franklin Ranch near Amarillo, Texas. Sloan and Liesl moved to Breckenridge in 2012, and Sloan began his life-long goal and dream, and that of his father's, of working on the family ranch. They had two children in the years following: Scarlett Austin Everett, born in 2013, and Samuel Sloan Everett, born in 2015. The couple's third child is expected in August of this year.Sloan was a devoted Christian and a loving husband, father, brother and son. Those who knew him will always remember his fun-loving nature, boyish smile, playful mischievousness and a radical commitment to excellence in everything to which he put his hand.He was a tremendous athlete and a natural leader, a man among men. In recent years, Sloan was very active in the student ministry of the First Baptist Church of Breckenridge, volunteering much time and effort to their spiritual development.
