COLUMBIANA ? Frank L. Main, 76, passed away early Saturday morning, April 1, 2017, at Essex of Salem III due to complications of lung cancer. Frank was born on Feb. 12, 1941, in Beaver Falls, Pa., a son of Frank S. and Wilda (McGowan) Main. He was a member of the first graduating class from Beaver Local High School in 1959. Frank worked as a maintenance/operator for National Refractories/ Kaiser in Columbiana. He enjoyed bowling, especially at Arrowhead Lanes, and belonged to the First Christian Church in Columbiana. He is survived by two sons, Kevin of Dayton and Jesse of Louisville, Ky. and their mother, Linda Bowen of Shepherdsville, Ky. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; a half-sister, Jean Phillips; a half-brother, Earl Main; and an infant brother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St. in Columbiana, with Pastor John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, as well as at 10 a.m., an hour before the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Delores J. (Ross) Tripodi, 93, Patterson Heights, died peacefully Wednesday, March 29, 2017.A daughter of the late James and Mary (Syka) Ross, Dee was born in Beaver Falls on November 28, 1923 (or Nov. 30, according to an often-told family legend). She was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School - a classmate of her future husband, Albert Tripodi. For many years, they were active in planning the reunions that brought the Class of the 1941 Tigers back together. Following graduation, she completed studies at Garfield Business School and took a position as office manager for Beco Products during the World War II years.When Al returned from active duty, they rekindled a friendship which soon blossomed into a love story that lasted many years - they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 26, 2017.Dee and Al's early life together was blessed with the arrival of two children, Jim and Pam. Al worked at Babcock & Wilcox while Dee tended lovingly to their family. Then, Al was asked to take over management of the B&W Employees Federal Credit Union.
