Carbondale in 1973 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology.In the Southern Illinois area, Tom practiced civil engineering with firms Moldovan & Associates, Inc. and Watwood & Heavener, Inc.; ten years in Florida with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, and AIM Engineering and Surveyors, Inc. in Ft. Myers, Florida. Moving to Dallas, Texas, he became a Vice President with Bridgefarmer & Associates. Tom loved roadway design and construction. He liked to see “Dirt at Work”. His 22 years as a Professional Engineer in Illinois, Florida, and Texas brought him much gratification. Tom was a Registered Land Surveyor in Illinois and Florida.Professional affiliations included The American Society of Civil Engineers and Illinois Professional Engineer Association. Tom’s contributions to civic organization included President of Lions Club, Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, and Elk Club.Tom was previous a member of Orlando First Baptist Church and Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, before becoming a member of Valley Ranch Baptist Church in Coppell, Texas. Tom enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid quail hunter, golfer, fisherman and sporting clays enthusiast. He enjoyed watching Texas, Ranger baseball, Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR.Tom is survived by: the love of his life, A.B.
