Lavern Glenn, 77, of Madill, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 in Tishomingo, Okla. He was born on Aug. 8, 1939 in Simpson, Okla. to the late Fred Glenn and Vera Orsack Glenn. Lavern attended school in Simpson until his family moved to Madill, where he graduated high school in 1957. He helped his father as janitor of Madill Schools until his graduation, after which time he began working at Madill Manufacturing. In 1963 Lavern went into partnership with Carl Hilburn opening Hilburn & Glenn Meat Processing, which they ran together for more than ten years. In 1976 he built Glenn’s Meats and Processing which he ran until 1988. Finally, in 1989 he began leasing and operating the Jones Meat Packing Company where he remained until his retirement in 2005. Lavern married Cynthia Ann Skiles in Madill and had two amazing kids with her, Michael Charles and Teri Lynn. Lavern’s hobbies included teaching and calling square dancing. Home in Ardmore. Pastor Jim Yeager of WOW Church will officiate.The son of James (Jim) Branch and Pam Grider Hallmark, Jason was born at Healdton, Sept. 10, 1976. He grew up and attended school in Madill, where he was a beloved member of the Madill Wildcats Class of 1995.Jason and Kendra Ann Richardson were married Feb. 3, 2001. They were the parents of three children, Jade, Brooke and Colton.A journeyman plumber with Service Plumbing, Inc, he loved his job and had been with the company for 19 years. He was respected as one of the best in his profession. His fellow employees will be honorary bearers.In his leisure time Jason enjoyed playing sports, hunting and camping. A collector of Star Wars memorabilia, coins and guns, Jason valued the time most that he spent with his family and friends. He had a huge heart and it was devoted to all that loved him.
