Walter of Festus, Donald (Chris) walter of Arnold and Thomas (Sidney) Walter of Hillsboro; four daughters: Donna (Craig) Tinsley of Pevely, Janet (Dale) farwig of Hillsboro, Pamela (Luke) Skaggs of De Soto and Lisa (Jeff) Potts of Oakville; a brother: John (Pat) Sieving; two sisters-in-law:Jean Sieving and Shirley Duebelbeis; 30 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, Gene and William Sieving.Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Tenbrook Road. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Kosma of Du Quoin, Sasha Kimble and husband, Scott, of Savannah, Georgia, Jolen Kosma of Greensboro, North Carolina, Dylan Kosma and Patricia Santos of Reno, Nevada, William Kosma and wife, Jennifer, of Du Quoin, and Katrina Kosma and Willie Watts of Dowell; and great-grandchildren, Logan Morgan, Nolan Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Kallie Kosma, Tyler Peterson and Collin Duncan.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Steven Wayne “Butch” Kosma; and one brother, Dale Chapman.Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with her grandson, Joseph C. Donald Vincent Pinky, 82, of De Soto died March 23, 2017, in De Soto. Mr. Pinky was a weaver for a steel manufacturer and served in the Army in the 11th Airborne at Fort Campbell, Ky. He also was a member of Elks Lodge 689 and Amvets Post 48, both in De Soto. Born March 13, 1935, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Vincent and Avis (Wood) Pinky.He is survived by his wife: Sandra L. Investigation continues into death of pedestrian killed on US 51 in De Soto - The Southern

DE SOTO — The investigation is continuing into the case involving an Elkville man hit and killed late Saturday night on U.S. 51 in De Soto.Lynn Edward Easley, 70, was walking in the northbound lane of U.S. 51 around 10:35 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle being driven north on that road, according to Capt. Mike O'Leary of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver, 18-year-old Shiann Raines of Du Quoin, was the only person in the vehicle, according to O'Leary. Raines was taken to a local hospital for treatment.O'Leary said no charges have been filed as the investigation is continuing. A sheriff's department accident reconstructionist was called to the scene to investigate the incident.He said it is customary when there is a fatality in a traffic incident to conduct a toxicology report on the deceased person. The results should be available within three weeks, according to Jackson County Coroner Dr. Thomas Kupferer.The incident happen...
