Linda was born in Blytheville Arkansas to the late Odis Theodore and Lois Mcglothen Merritt, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers Gene and Teddy Merritt.Linda had been an employee of Berea Hospital as the ER Department Clinical Manager, after retirement she worked as a Walmart greeter; and she was currently the President of the Hospital Auxiliary and she also worked in the gift shop at the hospital.Linda is survived by her children; Harold Jonathon Adkins of Berea, and Blaine Anthony Adkins of Jeffersonville, IN., and Laura Lynn Adkins Davis of Glasgow, KY., her step brother Eric Flowers, her grandchildren; Silas (Rebecca) Adkins, Allison Davis, Ian Adkins, Andrew Adkins, Robert Adkins, and Betta Adkins, and the father of their children Harold Thomas Adkins.Funeral services will be Saturday March 25, 2017 at 7 pm at Lakes Funeral Home Berea; visitation will also be Saturday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.Eddie R HunterEddie HunterEddie Hunter, age 57, passed away on Monday, March 20th 2017 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Miller Earnest. He married Kathleen “Kathy” Morrow on June 3, 1956, at Grace Brethren Church in Waterloo.Ernie graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1955. He later completed a tool and die apprenticeship and worked as a tool and die maker at Woodring and Wise Machine Shop and at Precision Tool and Die for several years; he later became co-owner of E+M Tool and Die for many years and then owned Industrial Steel, retiring in 2014.Ernie was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and was active in the men’s quartet, held elder positions, and taught Ambassador Sunday School for more than 40 years.Survived by: his wife; a son, Tim (Shari) of St. Paul, Minn.; three daughters, Vadine (Mike) Henninger of Oelwein, Lisa (Wayne) Likes of Waterloo and Debbie (Kurt Frey) Earnest of Madison, Wis.; more than 50 foster children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rose Earnest, Margaret Henkle and Wanda Holm, all of Waterloo.Preceded in death by: a daughter, Barbara Loftus; and two brothers-in-law, Charles Henkle and Edward Holm.Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Grace Fellowship Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Following high school, he served his country in the Navy as a Seaman Apprentice. After completing his service, he enrolled in night school at the University of Missouri at Columbia, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1958.He was employed with the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for thirty-six years, working as a store manager and territory salesman at various locations in Missouri and Iowa. After retiring from Firestone, he was employed as a Realtor with Century 21, McDowell Realty.Dick was a member of St. Peter Church where he was a Charter Participant with the Perpetual Adoration at the church. He was a member of the Class of ‘48 Alumni Assn. and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Dan Coppin Assembly 573. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, and traveling with Clara, his longtime friend and classmate. He was happy when assisting others, whether fixing or repairing broken items or chauffeuring them to appointments. Most importantly, he cherished time visiting and talking with his friends and family.Survivors include: one daughter, Susan M.
