ADAMSVILLE, ALA. (WIAT) — Tow truck operators from around the state came to Jefferson County to pay their respects to John Hubbard Saturday.Investigators say Hubbard was killed in Tuscaloosa County while helping someone on the side of the road.With horns honking, tow trucks followed the casket draped in black and yellow as it left Crestview Memorial Funeral home Saturday afternoon.The trucks made their way to Pumpkin Center Baptist church in Walker County. Daniel King worked with John Hubbard.“No matter what it was he was going stop to help you whether you knew him or not he was broke down on the side of the  road he was going to stop and make sure you was ok he would give the shirt off his back,” said King.Hubbard trained Kirk Koerber when they worked together.“Great guy–always talked highly of him,” said Koerber.On December 10, 2016, Hubbard was helping a driver on Interstate 59.  Law enforcement said two cars collided nearby and one hit Hubbard.Mike Atchley came  from Huntsville to...
