Saturday, April 08, 2017FURROW, Anne Louise 79, from Oro Valley, AZ, gained her angel wings on March 26, 2017. She moved to AZ from Iowa in 1952 and was a 1956 grad of Amphi HS. Anne earned her RN degree at St. Mary's Nursing School and served four years in the Air Force and 30 in the Reserves. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse at Pima County Health Dept for 30 years. During that time she became one of the 1st licensed Nurse Practitioners in AZ. In her quest to better the lives of women and children, she served many years on the Board of Reachout Women's Center. Through her career she touched thousands of children's lives. Everyone loved "Dr. Anne". All who knew her will remember her selfless acts of kindness and generosity to others. She is survived by her brother, Bill (Laurie) Furrow of Medford, OR and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty (Russ) Beving of Ackley, Iowa. Anne is also survived by her long-time friend and honorary sister, Bonnie Morrison along with the entire Morrison and McCommon familie...
Monday, November 14, 2016Apostle Pastoral Council. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church at 2727 W. Tangerine Rd., Oro Valley, AZ 85742. It will be followed by a burial at Holy Hope Cemetery at 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reachout Women's Center at 2648 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ 85719. ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES are entrusted with the arrangements.
Monday, July 11, 2016GALINET, Patricia Ann (Quinn) born April 23, 1928 in Winthrop Iowa. Died on June 29, 2016 Oro Valley Arizona. Pat worked as an executive secretary with the Upjohn Company for 31 years. She retired in 1990. After her retirement, she began exploring the United States while traveling in her motor home for the next three years. She also traveled throughout Europe a number of times and visited Egypt. She then settled in the Tucson AZ area in 1994. Mom was a dedicated supporter of the Democratic Party. A "political junkie", she was always tuned into what was happening in our world. Her legacy is extensive as she was so involved with people and life. She served on the GATEWAY board in Kalamazoo for eight years, attained a Master level in bridge, sponsored many women within the A.A. program throughout her 43 years of sobriety and finally raising her four children as a single parent during a period where it was not so common. Her children and grandchildren will greatly miss her love of life, some of her quirky little ways that only she possessed and words of wisdom. Mom was preceded...
