David was a member of the Lake Ozark Christian Church in Lake Ozark. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, maintaining his lawn and woodworking. SUBMITTED David Bentz, 74, of Lake Ozark passed away Tuesday, April 11 at Harry S. Truman VA Center in Columbia. He was born September 25, 1942 in Sterling, Illinois the son of the late Lloyd and Joy (McCombs) Bentz. On June 27, 1965 in Lake Ozark he was united in marriage to Betty (Stanton) Bentz who preceded him in death on November 28, 2015.He is survived by his son, Matthew Bentz of Lake Ozark; daughter, Elizabeth Veit and husband Brian of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Ben Veit and Kate Veit; brothers, Richard Kohl and wife Joan of Williams, IA; Don Kohl and wife Judy of Rock Falls, IL; and several nieces and nephews.David was a member of the Lake Ozark Christian Church in Lake Ozark. Berry’s stage play "I Know Where I Have Been; Now, I Know Where I Am Going" will be performed on Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. Lively Stones Ministries Worship Center, located at 2622 U.S. 231 S. in Ozark. The play will feature local soloists, actors/actresses, loads of laughter, wisdom deposits, heart-jerking moments and spiritual-filled dialogues. Free admission.Daleville Christian Fellowship Worship Center will host the event “Home Improvement – It’s a Family Affair” on Feb. 11 beginning at 8:30 a.m. with Family Enrichment. Guest facilitators from the area and Atlanta, Georgia, will share on a variety of topics for the family unit, as well as in individual sessions for couples, singles and youth. The event has been dubbed and is designed to strengthen families, and thereby churches and communities. The family session will be conducted from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m., and the breakout session for couples, single individuals and youth will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m. The morning seminar, which is free and open to the general public, will be followed by a Valentine Day Love Feast at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are available for $13 per person and can be obtained from the church administrative office.
