Monday, January 23, 2017Rector. In later years she served as office manager at Mitchell Funeral Home, was owner of Bob and Peg's Antiques, owned Rector Florist and was a social worker at the Paragould Nursing Center.Ingram was active in the Democratic Party throughout her adult life, and served as president of the Clay County Democratic Women. Her interest in public service also led to two terms on the Rector City Council. Ingram was former president of the Rector Women's Club, serving until her illness. She was also a volunteer ombudsman, regularly volunteered at the Rector Museum and was active with the Senior Bees.Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 22, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector. Funeral services were held the following day at the funeral home. Interment followed in the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.In her memory, the family requests givers consider a donation to the Rector High School Helping Hands Foundation at www.rhshelpinghands.org, St. Bernards Hospice or committing a random act of kindness in her honor.Those who wish may sign the online guestbook at www.mitchellfuneralhomes.com...
Monday, September 05, 2016Katherine Hardin Lucius. He was married on July 2, 1949 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Mary Jane McDonald who preceded him in death on October 6, 2005. On April 27, 1967, he married Brenda J. Selph in Paragould, Arkansas and she preceded him in death in April, 2011. A resident of the Holts Summit area for the past two and a half years, Buddy was employed as the Sales Manager with Tim Bowles Motors in Osceola, Arkansas for thirty years. He then was employed as an Apartment Manager in Hot Springs, Arkansas for twenty years and then worked for Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas for ten years.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Osceola, Arkansas and the Moose Lodge in Hot Spring, ArkansasBuddy enjoyed mowing and gardening. His favorite thing to do was hang out with his friends and “chew the fat”. He also enjoyed watching Bonanza, the Rifleman, Mayberry RFD, and other old television programs. Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Dolman and her husband Ron of Lake Mykee, Mo.; two sons, James Bruce “Jim” Lucius and his wife Misti of San Antonio, Texas and Jeffery Scott “Jeff” Selph and his wife April of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Raye Ledbetter of Gosnell, Arkansas, Jewell Sanders and her husband Joe of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Jeanie French of Blytheville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Mandy Jean Taylor and her husband Rye of Independence, Mo., Jeffery Scott Selph, Jr. and fiancé B...

She was of the Assembly of God faith and the widow of Edsel Steele.Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Midland under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Greenwood.She is survived by three children, Sheila Adams of Waldron, Sharon Nguyen of Greenwood and Michael Steele of Midland; a sister, Faye Panhorst of Laffe, Ark.; a brother, Donald Mitchum of Pocahontas; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be William Stearman, Duc Nguyen, Wilson Bay, Shay Morse, Rick Mott and Allen Adams.Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 2-4 p.m.
