Brazil, passed away March 24, 2017 at 11:13 pm at the Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility. He was born March 22, 1947 in Clay County, the son of Stanley A. and Phyllis Evans Eldridge. He graduated from Van Buren High School, Class of 1965. In high school, he lettered in Cross County, and in Baseball. He continued his education at Indiana State University, completing a Business Degree in 1969.Following college graduation, Butch served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged at the rank of Master Sergeant, serving for 22 years. While in the Air Force he was based at Montgomery, Hawaii and last at Scott Air Force Base working with the World Wide Evac unit. He gained experience with Hospital Administration during this time. In his other working career, he was a USPS worker in Chrisman, IL and also was a security guard at Securitas. He was a member of the Chrisman Illinois Christian Church.Stanley “Butch” Richard EldridgeButch has always loved fishing, bowling and anything to help with children. He was the son of Clyde Calvin Asher of Van Buren, Missouri and the late Gladys Johnson Asher.He was a self-employed Millwright and an avid fisherman.Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Philip Tabler. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
