Monday, May 01, 2017Tulsa City-County Library System.A native of Abington, Pennsylvania, Brumbaugh held a bachelor’s degree in political science from Belmont Abbey College, according to his https://www.okhouse.gov/Members/District.aspx?District=76”" href="%E2%80%9Dhttps:/www.okhouse.gov/Members/District.aspx?District=76%E2%80%9D" target="”_blank”">House member biography</a>.He was a veteran of the Army’s 101st Airborne Division, and as a legislator he was a founding member of the joint House and Senate Veterans Caucus.In a joint statement, caucus members remembered Brumbaugh on Monday as “a quiet, steadfast and principled leader, … the calm voice in the midst of the storm.”Brumbaugh was an active member of Tulsa Bible Church, where he was an ordained deacon, former chairman of the deacon board, and a Sunday school teacher.His survivors include his wife, Shelley Brumbaugh, and two daughters, Abigail and Hannah.The family will be available for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club and was a former member of Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed singing as a hobby, recording some of his music to share with family and friends.A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at Belmont Baptist Church Family Life Center in Calhoun. The family will receive visitors following the service. On Wednesday, March 29, a service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners’ Hospitals for Children.Tammy PasleyTammy Leigh Pasley, 46, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. She was born in Floyd County on Sept. 9, 1970, daughter of the late Bill and Delores Walraven.
