Tuesday, April 18, 2017GLENS FALLS — Louis P. De Cunzo Sr., age 92 of Glens Falls passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, Louis resided in Hawthorne and then Fort Meyers, Florida. He moved to Glens Falls in 2011.An Army Air Corps World War II veteran, Louis was the owner and operator of Hawthorne Builders in Hawthorne. Louis sat on the Hawthorne School Board in the late 1960s, and had also been a member of the Mohawk Athletic Club.Louis P. De Cunzo Sr. was the beloved husband of the late Rosalyn (nee Earl) De Cunzo (2011); loving father of Lu Ann De Cunzo and her husband Edwin Czelatko of Greenwich, New Jersey, and Louis P. De Cunzo, Jr. of Glens Falls; dear grandfather of Caroline and James De Cunzo; father-in-law of Jacqueline De Cunzo; and the brother of the late Peter De Cunzo.Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 17 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave. in Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. But teaching never was a career goal; he wanted to follow his father into law, his wife said.He worked in private practice for two years after graduating from the New England School of Law and joined Passaic County government in 1976.Mr. Convery died of cancer on Aug. 30 at his home in Little Egg Harbor. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; his children, Elizabeth Convery of Glen Rock, Karen Ciaramella of Montclair and James Convery of Shrewsbury; three siblings, Dr. Patricia Glover of Huntington Beach, Calif., Charles Convery of Waldwick and Mary Orr of Mahwah; and six grandchildren.The funeral was held Saturday at St. Anthony’s R.C.
