CCC historian.Earl is survived by three children: daughter, Jean and Peter Wories of Carbondale, daughter, Sue Dickey and Tom Pollard, of Alameda, CA, and son, Lee and Dana Dickey of Redding, CA; grandchildren, Kevin (Rosemary) McCamish and Megan Harmon all of Carterville, Casey (Nico) Anselmi of Fidenza, Italy, Rebecca Renfroe of Clarkesville, TN, Adam Wories of Carbondale, and Rachelle (Brandon) Ridgeway of DuQuoin; eleven great-grandchildren, Kaleb McCamish and fiance Rachel Tate of Ft. Collins, CO, Colby and Corbin Harmon, Paige and John Stephen McCamish, Mikenzie Minnick, all of Carterville, Wiley and Annalee Renfroe of Clarkesville, TN, Ryleigh and Ty Ridgeway of DuQuoin, and Amelia Anselmi of Fidenza, Italy; two brothers, Ernest (Rozella) Dickey of DuQuoin and Wesley (Pat) Dickey of Waltonville; sister, Lillie (William) Loman of Blue Springs, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, eight siblings, and two infant daughters.

Mae C. Healy, 88, of Redding, formerly of Ridgefield, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She was the loving wife of Dr. Harold E. Healy.Mae was born on September 24, 1928 in Tarrytown, NY; a daughter of the late James and Mae (Jacob) Clarkson. She graduated from Central Connecticut State College and began teaching in Madison, CT.  Mae spent the majority of her teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher in the Ridgefield Public School System.  She was  a resident of Ridgefield for 53 years. Mae loved spending summers with family in their second home on Cape Cod. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield and was involved in fundraising for Regional Hospice. Mae is survived by her husband of 65 years, Hal Healy and their children: Lauren Healy of Wilmington, MA; Scott Healy and his wife Anne, of Sudbury, MA and Jane Stafford and her husband Scott, of Wakefield, RI. World War 2. She retired after 42 years of service with Union Carbide and moved to Brielle and later Brick, New Jersey. After Joel's death in 2002, she moved to Meadow Ridge in Redding, Ct., where she had many friends and was near her daughter and grandson. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield.Mom was a determined woman who worked hard to give me the education she was not able to afford herself. She loved working with her hands and was very accomplished in needlepoint and knitting. Additionally, she loved home improvement projects and, in her earlier days, was known to happily wall paper, paint and plaster. She loved her family, particularly her grandson, Matthew. She said exactly what she thought, was always in a hurry, and her many friends and extended family fondly regale in telling "Geri Gardner stories", knowing full well she was one of a kind.Geri Gardner is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Hotard of Ridgefield and her grandson, James Matthew Hotard of New York City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary R. C. Church on Friday, November 11 at 1:15 p.m.; interment will take place in St. Catharine Cemetery; Sea Girt, NJ., there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association will be appreciated. Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Posted: Sept. 07, 2016 0 Services for Redding Colt 45s founder Denny Brugman will be held Sunday.Brugman, 42, died Sunday night at a local hospital following a stroke.A public viewing will take place 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel, 2655 Eureka Way, in Redding. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m. at Tiger Field, 1000 W. Cypress Avenue, in downtown Redding.The services were announced by the Colt 45s summer collegiate baseball team at its website, www.reddingcolt45s.com.Donations in lieu of flowers will be accepted at the Celebration of Life.Brugman founded the Colt 45s in 2004 as a men’s team, Colt 45s general manager Rick Bosetti said. The team evolved into a summer collegiate team that today recruits players from around the country and internationally to play at Tiger Field.
