Another wreath was commissioned by the USS Ronald Reagan and a third by a group of local Marines in honor of Nancy Reagan, she said.“It’s not just the fact that we’re very prideful ... that we have these orders, it’s also our name,” Mendez said from her shop in a Simi Valley strip mall. “This is our work and we need to make sure it’s first-rate, and the quality of flowers is fresh.”Residents and business owners of Simi Valley, which bills itself as “an authentic American suburb with all the charm of a small town,” were readying Tuesday for an influx of visitors who will be paying their respects to Nancy Reagan at the Ronald Reagan Pr...
