Salvador Manzanares Sr., 76, of Cheyenne passed away peacefully Oct. 29 at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Durango, Colo. He served in the Army National Guard and was a custodian for the city of Cheyenne prior to his retirement.He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia and Martin Manzanares; brothers, Pat Manzanares and Sam Manzanares; and sisters, Frances Lucero, Annie Manzanares and Irene Parker.He is survived by his life-long partner, Kathy Plymire; sons, Salvador (John) Manzanares Jr., Steve Manzanares (Julie), Richard Manzanares, Victor Manzanares and Jason (Billy Jo) Manzanares; brothers, Fermin (Barbara) Manzanares, John Manzanares and Robert (Kathy) Manzanares; sisters, Mary (Jerry) Roybal and Rosie Rich; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Private services were held Nov. 1 with cremation following.
