Mrs. Carolyn Bevis Wray, 86, of Lake of the Woods, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Boyce K. Wray; one brother, Wayne Bevis; four children, Joan Taylor, Donna Stayman (Rick), Nancy Wray and Bob Wray (Cindy); and two grandchildren, Brittany Taylor and Alexander Wray-Kerr. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Emma Bevis; one sister, Virginia Felker; two brothers, Tom and Ranny Bevis; and two nephews, David Wray and Tom L. Bevis.Carolyn loved taking many camping trips across the U.S. with Boyce and their children. She worked for the government at Cameron Station in Alexandria and later transferred to the Pentagon as a budget analyst for the National Guard through 1990. In retirement she served as president of Lake of the Woods Lioness Club. She worked at the Tourist Bureau in Orange, Va., and volunteered at the Culpeper Hospital thrift shop. Mrs. Carolyn Bevis Wray, 86, of Lake of the Woods, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Boyce K. Wray; one brother, Wayne Bevis; four children, Joan Taylor, Donna Stayman (Rick), Nancy Wray and Bob Wray (Cindy); and two grandchildren, Brittany Taylor and Alexander Wray-Kerr. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Emma Bevis; one sister, Virginia Felker; two brothers, Tom and Ranny Bevis; and two nephews, David Wray and Tom L. Bevis.Carolyn loved taking many camping trips across the U.S. with Boyce and their children. She worked for the government at Cameron Station in Alexandria and later transferred to the Pentagon as a budget analyst for the National Guard through 1990. In retirement she served as president of Lake of the Woods Lioness Club. She worked at the Tourist Bureau in Orange, Va., and volunteered at the Culpeper Hospital thrift shop.
